TURKEY'S ECONOMY HAS GROWN 3.1 PERCENT IN THE SECOND QUARTER

Turkish Statistical Institute announced the growth figures for the second quarter. According to TÜİK data, Turkey grew 3.1 percent in the second In the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) estimation by production method, the second quarter of 2016 has reached to 33 billion 61 million TL with an increase of 3.1 percent at constant prices compared to the same quarter of the previous year. Turkey’s economy has grown 4 percent last year and 4.8 percent in the first quarter of this year. On the other hand, it is been predicted the growth to be 4.5 percent in 2016 and 5 percent in 2017 and 2018 in Medium-Term Program. According to the data of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey, current accounts deficit is 2.602 billion dollars with a decrease of 523 billion dollars compared to July, 2015. The expectation was 2.7 billion dollars. As a result of this, 12-month current account deficit has realized as 28.931 billion dollars.
