THE NUMBER OF ELECTRIC CARS WILL RISE OVER 100 MILLION WORLDWIDE BY 2035

According to BP Energy Outlook 2017 Report, the highest demand in the energy will be for electricity by the year 2035. 55 in every one thousand cars are anticipated to be electric in 18-20 years.

BP Energy Outlook 2017 Report, providing important data about the future trends of the energy industry, unveiled that the highest demand will be for the electricity in the upcoming 18-20 years. The electricity usage will expand in every part across the world because of the advance of the technological products. The most striking progress will be seen in electric cars.

According to the informations in the report, 900 million cars are used worldwide and only 1.2 million of them run on electricity in 2015. By 2035 in other words 20 years later, the number of cars will rise to 1.8 billion worldwide.

¬In 2035, the number of electric cars in circulation will reach up to 100 million.

While the number of vehicles in circulation will double, the number of electric cars will increase 100 folds in 20 years.

The calculations indicate that currently 1.1 in every one thousand cars over the world run on electricity.

¬If the anticipations in the report come true, 55 in every one thousand cars in other words, 550 in every 10 thousand cars will run on electricity.

According to the report, the highest demand will be for electricity among the varieties of energy in the future 20 years.

The share of renewable and mainly the share of wind and solar energy will increase.

¬The demand for coal will decrease whereas the demand for natural gas will rise very fast.

¬The demand for oil will remain high. The production cost will decrease, the production will be at normal pace and these factors will have a positive impact on the prices.

¬The report states that the carbon emissions will increase less than one third of the rate observed over the past 20 years (2,1 per cent).

¬If successful, this will be the slowest emission rise since the year 1965. Still, the carbon emission occurring from the use of basic energy sources will increase by 13 per cent in this period.
