Providing services in many areas from greeting at the airport to baggage handling, from assisting with check-in and passport procedures to Duty Free shopping, from welcoming at the exclusive passenger lounges to transferring to flight gate through in-terminal vehicles, TAV "primeclass" continues to grow as a symbol of Turkish hospitality in Turkey and abroad. As a prominent brand of TAV Operations Services that is one of the subsidiaries of TAV Airports responsible for managing non-aviation revenues, “primeclass” has been working to maximize the customer experience by meeting different requirements of passengers at the airports. Convenience starts before the flight for the passengers receiving TAV “primeclass” service. Passengers are greeted at the airport, required procedures are performed at the airports in the company of “primeclass” hostesses without losing time and they enjoy exclusive passenger lounges designed specifically by this brand with an emphasis on comfort and quality until their flight. They can work in the office units and take advantage of the treats, special massage chairs, shower facilities and game halls in the lounge. Furthermore, guests can look at works of art in the lounges designed as an art gallery, depending on their airport, or enjoy the Happy Hours and DJ performances. Guests are transferred to the airplane by a “primeclass” mini golf cart at their time of flight and receive similar services on their arrival and complete their journeys without having any travelling stress or feeling alienated at their destination. With its holistic view on the basic needs of customers on the basis of integrated management mentality of TAV, “primeclass” continues to work with the goal of becoming a brand affecting and structuring the customer experience. Having started with greeting and seeing off services in the early 2000s, TAV Operations Services now provides this service with “primeclass” at all airports operated by TAV and operates at 17 airports in 8 countries with its CIP services in the commercial areas of operation it manages. TAV operates 29 exclusive passenger lounges in the scope of “primeclass”. It therefore contributes to the promotion of Turkey significantly because as the General Manager of TAV Operations Services, Ali Bora Isbulan says, the “first ‘hello’ or ‘goodbye’ to the passengers travelling through their airports is from “primeclass” employees”. Furthermore, TAV “primeclass” which has achieved significant success by taking over the operating right for exclusive passenger lounges of Air France/KLM in Frankfurt, Munich and Stuttgart last year stands out as one of the growing players in the hospitality industry. IMPROVING ITS EFFICIENCY ABROAD Having hosted almost 2 million guests in their exclusive passenger lounges in 2014, provided greeting or seeing off services to approximately 40 thousand people and transferred 2,500 people a month, “primeclass” aims to be full of action in 2015. Stating that they will focus on the management of exclusive passenger lounges this year, the General Manager of TAV Operations Services, Ali Bora Isbulan said that there is a great requirement for the service industry and management of exclusive passenger lounge in the U.S. and emphasized that in 2015 they will establish an exclusive passenger lounge in Washington with Turkish Airlines as a priority. Mentioning the importance of Germany in airline transport, Isbulan emphasized that they are also planning to grow at Berlin, Frankfurt, Dusseldorf and Hamburg Airports. Furthermore, he stated that they, as “primeclass”, would like to have a presence in France, especially in Paris. On the other hand, there are different geographical regions on the agenda of the brand. In this regard, “primeclass” follows up the airports being constructed by TAV in the Middle East this year and wait for expiration of the contracts to take required actions for operating exclusive passenger lounges of Air France/KLM such as those in Dubai and Cairo. In order to grow even more abroad, the company will consider the opportunities at the airports in North Africa and Zagreb Airport, for which TAV is a shareholder, and will be the brand that will operate the exclusive passenger lounges of Medline Airports and those in Riga, Latvia this year. THEY WILL ADD VALUE ON LAND, AT SEA AND IN THE AIR “primeclass” in this year will not be limited to abroad and there will be major moves in Turkey as well. Accordingly, management of exclusive lounges will spread to different channels in addition to the airports in order to create a value chain. The first step to be taken in this regard will be establishment of a 180 sq. meter exclusive passenger lounge at Yenikapı Dock in cooperation with IDO. “primeclass” exclusive passenger lounges are scheduled to be commissioned at the ports and docks in the first stage and then at the train stations.
