The tenders for 21 among the city hospitals built according to the PublicPrivate Partnership have been completed. New tenders will follow these hospitals having more than 31 thousand beds. According to the figures of the Health Investments General Directorate, the total number of city hospitals will rise to 31 and the number of beds will rise to 43 thousands.
At PPP model foreseeing the public investments to be made by the private sector and then leased to the state for a term of 25 years, the private sector is also obliged to provide some services assumed by the public during this leasing period. The medical service is again provided by the state which is also in charge of the medical staff consisting of physicians and nurses. The examples in the world for this partnership model extends from 15 years to 30 years and the term for the projects in Turkey is set to be 25 years.
