Launching Izmir Airport Domestic Flights Terminal last March, TAV continues to be the strong actor of the industry after putting Milas-Bodrum Airport into operation as of July 15th. One of the leading organizations among Turkey’s airport management is rapidly increasing the number and capacity of airports operated in Turkey. Meeting the 35% of flight and passenger traffic, Atatürk Airport, taking the lead in traffic increase, has broken an all-time record by reaching 1294 in plane traffic and 142.000 in the number of passengers within 24 hours after Friday, June 13, the day when the schools are closed and the holiday season begins. Milas-Bodrum Airport, for which TAV Airports won the tender regarding the airport’s management until the end of 2035 for 717 million Euros + VAT, was put into operation as of July 15th. The airport offered services for 714.000 passengers in domestic flights and 588.000 in international flights in the first six months of this year. Privatization Process Accelerated in EÜAŞ 11.700 megawatts of the plant in EÜAŞ (Electricity Generation Company), with a total capacity of 24.700 megawatt, is planned to be privatized. S eyitömer Thermal Plan was privatized for 2 billion 248 million dollars, Kangal Thermal Plant for 985 million dollars, and Hamitabat Plant for 105 million dollars. While the privatization tender for Çatalağzı Termal Plant is expected to be carried out in the next phase, it will be followed by the tenders for Yeniköy, Kemerköy and Yatağan plants. It is possible that Yeniköy and Yatağan plants will be tendered with the same portfolio.
