The 4th Turkish-British Tatlıdil Forum gathered together many prominent individuals from the worlds of business, politics, academia, press and art. The fourth meeting of Turkish-British Tatlıdil Forum, established in 2011 with a view to deepen economic and cultural relations between Turkey and Britain, was held on November 28-30, 2014 in Istanbul. More than 120 prominent individuals from the worlds of business, politics, academia, press and art of both countries, mainly the 11th President of Turkey Abdullah Gül, Prince Andrew of the British Royal Family, former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Britain Jack Straw and the Minister of Culture and Tourism of Turkey Ömer Çelik, attended the Turkish-British Tatlıdil Forum; and Pelin Akın, member of the Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEİK) British Business Council and Akfen Holding Executive Board was in charge of the organization. Furthermore, the 12th President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan attended and gave a speech at the gala dinner organized by the Tatlıdil Forum on November 30, 2014, at Le Meridien Hotel. ONE-TO-ONE CONTACT OPPORTUNITIES CREATED FOR BUSINESS PEOPLE The Tatlıdil Forum addressed topics such as the constitution, energy, healthcare, and regional issues this year. Various subjects such as the presidential system, parliamentary system, Scottish referendum, ISIS, Iraq, Syria, Libya and Iran, the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, the Balkans and Caucasus were discussed in the panels moderated according to Chatham House rules. In addition, the Tatlıdil Forum witnessed to a first in this year, whereby one-to-one contact opportunities created for business people.
