The expectation of increase in employment played an important role in restoring the confidence of the constructing industry. A ccording to the Industrial Confidence Index announced in April by Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), Constructing sector confidence index, refined from seasonal effects, showed a 0.3 point increase and increased to 78.4 from the last month’s 78.1. The increase in the constructing industry confidence index is caused by the 1.6 percent improvement in the total number of employees’ expectations lower index in the coming three-month term. The lower index of received registered orders’ current level decreased by 1.7 percent in comparison with the last month. As we know, Industrial Confidence Index can be evaluated within the range of 0-200 while an index above 100 indicates optimism for the current and the upcoming period and below 100 indicates negativity.
