In the first year of the Isparta City Hospital, which provides citizens free health services with five star hotel standards, 2 thousand 374 births took place, while 1 million 58 thousand people were treated at polyclinics. In this period 42 thousand 543 operations and 3 million 522 thousand lab test done.

ISPARTA CITY HOSPITAL,

which is founded thanks to Public-Private Partnership model that is regarded as a pioneer in Turkey’s health care transformation in the recent years, celebrated its 1st year.

In the first year of Isparta City Hospital, where health care meets comfort, 1 million 58 thousand patients were treated in polyclinics and 3 million 522 thousand laboratory tests were done. During the one-year period, 1,138 people underwent angioplasty and 2 thousand 374 births took place.

Akfen Insaat undertook construction of Isparta City Hospital, with an investment of 1 billion 150 million TL, in coordination with T. R. Ministry of Health, and still provides necessary services for the hospital. In the hospital, health care and comfort is provided at the highest level and waiting lines for surgeries became a thing of the past. Now, citizens can receive health care with 5 star hotel standards without paying any fees.

‘THE HOSPITAL WILL ALSO OFFER CARDIOVASCULAR SURGERY’

The chief physician of Isparta City Hospital, Feridun Rusen Keskin, delivered a speech at the celebrations and remarked that, in the one year period, new departments were opened at the hospital and these departments provided treatment to patients both in Isparta and from neighboring cities. Keskin stated that the hospital will start to offer cardiovascular surgery treatment soon, and an additional intense care unit will be opened, and said, “With our human focused approach that aims to protect the health of individuals and our community, we will continue offering solutions to health problems promptly, appropriately and effectively.”

Sehmuz Gunaydin, the Governor of Isparta, remarked that the City Hospital became the symbol of Isparta and said “It is a source of pride for us that Isparta got ahead of bigger cities in opening a city hospital.” Gunaydin remarked that in the last years, thanks to ‘Healthy People, Healthy Government’ approach, 112 billion TL have been allocated to health care investments, and said that, “This is a very high number compared to many European countries. It shows how much we care about our citizens’ health. Thanks to the regulations made in the recent years, each one of our citizens can access health care services.”

AMONG THE FIRST FIVE CITY HOSPITALS IN TURKEY

Chairman of the Planning and Budget Commission of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey and AK Party Deputy of Isparta, Sureyya Sadi Bilgic, said that they take pride in Isparta City Hospital, the third hospital in the City Hospital Project. Bilgic remarked that “Thanks to City Hospitals, the improvement in our health care services are praised around the world. We are now living in the era of modern hospitals that offer modern healthcare services with advanced technological equipments.”

Bilgic said that when the land is allocated in 2004, Isparta City Hospital was planned with a land of 70,000 square meters and a capacity for 400 inpatients, and said: “Since then, the land has increased to 200,000 square meters. The President Recep Tayyip Erdogan started the City Hospitals project and we thought ‘Isparta should have a city hospital, too.’ Thus, Isparta became one of first five cities in Turkey that has a city hospital.” Sureyya Sadi Bilgic said that they plan to implement 8 projects worth 59 million TL in 2018, and a dormitory with a capacity of 4 thousand students will be completed by Akfen Insaat in 2018 and handed over to Student Loans and Dormitories Institution.
