The tendering process started in May for the privatization of Ercan Airport via transfer of operational rights. A cceptance of offers of the tender, issued for the privatization of Ercan Airport in Cyprus and which will last for 90 days, ends on 27 August. The tender will be the first privatization tender after the Privatization Act in TRNC has entered into force. The company, winning the New Ercan project tender, will operate the airport for 25 year with the investments it is going to make and, in exchange, it will pay a turnover share fee to the government. The company will have a 4-year term to carry out these investments. It is indicated that some groups from Turkey, such as TAV, Limak, Çeçen, Çelebi, are interesting with the tender. This privatization, and the first growth in 2014, at the end of the last three years, in the constructing industry in EU countries has aroused excitement.
