The developments since the outbreak of pandemic unveiled that the current systems are ineffective in the battle against Covid-19. At the beginning, the outbreak was anticipated to be a regional “epidemic” affecting also China and its close environment but
then this virus spread beyond the borders of Asia and began to threat the public health globally. Thus, the humanity faced
the reality that other measures should be taken. Consequently, change is a must and therefore, we dedicated the new edition of
our magazine to Covid-19 and its afterwards. Our cover story is about “Green Energy” which the world delayed for long its implementation. Given the scarce resources of the world and the environmentalist approaches to this issue, the green energy policy becomes crucial more than ever. Turkey invested a sum close to 20 billion dollars over the past 10 years in this field. The “Renewables 2019” report by the International Energy Agency (IEA) indicates that the renewable energy capacity of Turkey will increase by 50 per cent and Turkey will rank among the top five countries of Europe having the highest capacity of installed renewable energy by 2024. Following the rapid spread of coronavirus over the world and the declaration of WHO calling it a pandemic, the airlines operations
almost halted and therefore, the attention shifted towards the tourism sector. We are looking for an answer to the question “what
