In spite of the decrease compared to last year’s prices in steel industry, an exportation of $6,36 billion has been realized within the first 5 months of the year. Middle Eastern, North African and European Union countries ranked first among the regions of export. The amount of steel products has reached 8,53 million tonnes, with an increase of 4.25% compared to the same period last year. Steel export has constituted more than 10% of the total export in Turkey by the end of first 5 months.
