PLAZA DE LA CATEDRAL
Cathedral Square could be a nice start for your first day in Habana. Although there are horse and buggy options around we suggest walking. The name of the cathedral in the square is San Cristobal de la Habana.

One of the most beautiful squares in Habana is Armas and it’s full of cafes, musicians and bookstores. El Templete, a historic temple can also be visited here. The Castle, Castillo de la Real Fuerza, can be accessed easily from here. Palacio de los Capitanes Generales in Armas nowadays hosts the Habana City Museum. Even if you won’t step inside you should take a glance at the yard.
MALECON
Malecon is the 8 km long coast of Habana. Especially in the evenings youngsters rush to take a seat on the seaside and chat. Statue of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk can be visited in Malecon on a location close to Plaza Armas.
PLAZA DE LA REVOLUCION
One of the first destinations that comes into mind in Habana is the Revolution Square to visit. Silhouettes of Ernesto Che Guevara and Camilo Cienfuegos and the monument of Jose Marti, all the symbols of revolution, are all worthseeing.
CASA MUSEO DE ERNEST HEMINGWAY
Another destination you can visit is the house in which Ernest Hemingway spent his days in Cuba. This house where he finished his book “The old man and the sea” can be visited as identical as Hemingway left it.
